CHARACTER SYNOPSIS
Infinity Ultron is an alternate version of the character, derived from his MCU iteration, where he manages to transfer his memory into a synthezoid body and subsequently acquire the six Infinity Stones. He acts as the main antagonist of the first season of "What If...?", fighting the Guardians of the Multiverse in the ninth episode: "What If... the Watcher Broke His Oath?".
This Ultron was similar to his Earth-199999 counterpart, except that he managed to transfer his consciousness into the synthetic body he had created—which would have belonged to the hero Vision in another sequence of events. With his new body and the power of the Mind Stone, Ultron began to devastate humanity alongside his army of Ultron Sentinels. At the NEXUS Hub in Oslo, Ultron defeated the Avengers and seized the world's nuclear launch codes. By uploading his consciousness into the facility's data banks, he triggered a global nuclear strike that successfully desolated most of humanity.
At Avengers Tower, Ultron is confronted by Thanos, who arrives seeking the Mind Stone to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and erase half of all life in the universe. After easily killing the Titan, Ultron integrates the remaining stones into a specialized exoskeleton. Utilizing the Reality Stone, he creates a vast army of Sentinels to expand his campaign of annihilation across the universe. Following the total eradication of all life, the resulting cosmic silence allows Ultron to detect the presence of The Watcher. Ultron manages to break into the Observational Plane, and upon understanding the existence of the Multiverse, he transcends his own reality to continue his mission on a multiversal scale.
